I love weddings. I always have and I shed at least a tear or two during every wedding , I just can’t help myself. Ben and Christine’s wedding was no exception. The radiant bride was emotional during the wedding ceremony and it was certainly a good thing that I wore waterproof mascara! I rarely write about my personal life on this blog but I’ll reveal a little about myself today… when I’m not with my family, pottering around my garden or out working with camera in hand I can usually be found at Dave’s Multisports which is a boxing and kickboxing club. I met Christine at the club about 3 years ago. I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her wedding day which was attended by many of our mutual friends from the gym.
Ben and Christine chose St Mark’s Place as their wedding venue; it’s a special building located on the Lahave River dating from 1901. The brilliant blue and burgundy spire looms large over the small community of Middle LaHave. Ben and Christine’s family and friends gathered on a beautiful August afternoon to celebrate the happy couple’s nuptials. Following the ceremony we made a quick stop at Sand Dollar Beach for portraits; we arrived as golden hour started and the tide started to come in which was perfect.
